MORE ABOUT us
We started our journey in foster care over 6 years ago.
We went into this storm with our 3 bio children, convinced we were going to help out a handful of kids, and come out of this season unchanged.
We were very wrong.
And we are so thankful for that!
We are now a family of 9, plus a dog, and a desert tortoise, and no house plants - because there is no chance they will get any attention from us. Although we do have a thriving backyard, but that's cause Chris' idea of self care is hanging out in 100 degrees, picking weeds from the rocks, and mowing grass.
I am fostering two babies, and it's been so nice to hear all the stories, and reassuring that it's ok to not have it all together. These guys are great! They have a mixture of personal stories of people who have gone through the system, and they bring in experts. I was more informed about the court systems than my caseworker was from listening to this podcast if that tells ya anything. Lol. Check it out, it's a great listen!
I love this podcast!
This podcast is awesome, Jihae and Chris are so real, honest, and genuine! I just love hearing theirs, and others' storiesabout fostering and adoption! They truly inspire you to want to be a better person and be an active part of your community! I have had many 'AHA' moments that have changed my life for the better! Thank you for the podcast. It is truly a highlight of my day to listen to it!!

None of us know what we are doing as parents and are always looking for solid parenting advice. Julie Lythcott-Haims has some strong suggestions. She may possibly be the most quoted author on our podcast. She is the New York Times Best Selling Author of “How to Raise an Adult: Break free of the overparenting […]
Leadership and parenting are things we talk about a lot, because we are all leaders. It is your choice if you are going to be a good one, or not. Parenting is some of the hardest kind of leadership, because you are maxed out in your pay grade, because oh yeah – you don’t make […]
