A podcast devoted to the voices in the foster care and adoptive communities.

Hey there! We are Chris and Jihae, the hosts of the Fostering Voices Podcast! We have been married since 2005, we have been a foster family since 2013, and we have been podcasting since early 2018.

Jesus is the reason for all of our seasons, and we are so thankful that He has called us to where we are right now. We have 4 fantastic kids, and are currently loving our 5th placement, a sweet and very juicy baby boy.

One of our many missions in life is to foster hope and joy in everyone we encounter, especially the sweet babies that come into our care. Our family's goal is very similar: to provide a safe, fun (read: loud), and loving place for foster babies to grow and develop - physically and emotionally, until they find their forever homes.

We also have a dog. And some house plants. Basically the humans are at the top of the priority list, and everything else is lucky to be alive in the house.

ABOUT

Here are our 4 beautiful kids who are absolutely on board with being a foster family.
They love big, they help out with the new little ones, and they are also normal kids - so they leave their socks everywhere and don't love eating dinner, unless it's pizza or hamburgers. But thanks to their sweet, generous hearts, and easy-going natures, they make our home the fun, loving, and loud place we want foster babies to develop in.

Eating and drinking. The eating can be anything. Rice is a personal fave. But so is chocolate ice cream, breads, anything that has carbs in it. And the drinking is (decaf) coffee, tea, bubble tea, Coke, anything that has bubbles in it.

Every Tuesday morning, you can find Chris out on a walk/jog with his brother, dad, uncle, and cousins. It used to be a running club, but now it's mostly a coffee club at Starbucks where they sometimes exercise a little bit beforehand. Even Chris' grandparents show up for the coffee time.

Chris enjoys golfing, doing yard work (his yard is impressive!), playing poker, eating ice cream, and just hanging out (his hang out skills are next level.)
